The Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) has today announced the results of the election for the Water Council Central North region and the successful nominees for its new policy committees.
VFF Returning Officer Jane Lovell said it was pleasing to have such strong interest in the policy committee positions, particularly from young farmers, and thanked all the nominees.
“It’s great to have so many members keen to be involved in the important policy work we do on issues like animal welfare law, transport regulation and labour supply,” Ms Lovell said.
“Our new committees strengthen the depth and integrity of policy development, and having contested elections shows the level of interest our members have in advancing the views of Victorian farmers. We extend our congratulations to our new committee members, thank everyone who was prepared to be part of the critical advocacy work the VFF undertakes.”
