Chain of responsibility and truck road-worthiness will be some of the big issues on the agenda at this year’s Victorian Farmers Federation Grains Pre-Harvest Roadshow from 3 to 12 September 2018.
Comprising eight events across Victoria – in Ouyen, Donald, Boort, Dookie, Nhill, Longerenong, Lake Bolac and Inverleigh – the roadshow will also feature practical demonstrations and interactive discussions from the CFA, Horsham Hydraulics, Mass Management and Grain Corp.
VFF Grains Group President Ross Johns said the roadshow was an excellent opportunity for grains producers to get key information before harvest.
“There is no better opportunity for grain producers to go to a meeting in their local community and hear directly from VicRoads, CFA, grain marketers and other key industry figures in the same place,” said Mr Johns.
“The roadshow will also be a great opportunity for our grain members to get engaged in the VFF state election campaign to ensure election candidates are delivering for agriculture.
“I would encourage all grains growers to find their nearest event and come along. One good piece of advice could prove invaluable with harvest on the way.”
Admission is free for grain growers, family and friends. For more information call: 1300 882 833.
