2020 UDV Annual Conference & Meeting - POSTPONED

The 44th UDV Annual Conference & Meeting has been postponed due to COVID-19.

Business for the Annual Meeting was to include elections for UDV President plus UDV Regional Representatives for the Regions 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. UDV is guided by a group of elected dairy farmer members representing our 10 dairy regions - the UDV Policy Council. UDV Policy Council meets regularly to discuss priority issues for the dairy industry and guide the organisational policy response. If you want to influence or guide the UDV policy agenda; this is the perfect way to get involved.

The term of office is 2 years with a maximum of 4 terms. Each year half of Council comes up for election.

The following positions fall vacant this year;
Region 2 (West Goulburn & Campaspe);
Region 4 (North East Valleys);
Region 6 (South Gippsland);
Region 8 (Colac & districts);
Region 10 (Wannon); and
UDV President.

All election information can now be found on the VFF Elections page: www.vff.org.au/elections2020

Members are encouraged to get involved, representing dairy farmers is challenging at times but also very rewarding. All voting members of the UDV are eligible to nominate for office and support a nomination for office. An election will be held if more than one nomination is received. All voting UDV members will be eligible to vote.

Due to a constitutional change passed at the 2016 VFF Annual Conference, the current Regional Representatives for Region 4 (North East Valleys) are unable to re-nominate for their positions as they have served the allowable maximum council term.

Thank you to all our members, industry delegates and everyone else who made the 2019 UDV Conference such a success. A very special thank you to all of our sponsors that made the event possible.

The voice of other advocates trying to influence how we farm is continuing to grow. It is important that dairy farmers are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to educate, inform and help influence others. UDV, farmers and industry experts explored how farmers can better advocate for themselves, their communities and the dairy industry.

The meeting also received reports and deal with member resolutions.
