Come Clean, Go Clean Kits

Carry a biosecurity kit in your vehicle at all times. The contents of a biosecurity kit will vary from farm to farm but all kits should include simple items for cleaning hands, shoes, small equipment and vehicle interiors. It is important the biosecurity kit is fully stocked at all times. Some examples:

• hard brush and pan to clean out the floor of the vehicle and to remove any soil that maybe stuck to foot pedals, plant matter from shoes, clothes, equipment and vehicle tyres
• disposable gloves
• handwash or hand sanitiser
• spray bottle containing cleaning agent such as a detergent, BioCleanse, dilute bleach solution or 70 % methylated spirits in 30% water
• paper towel
• hessian bag/mat
• plastic bags for holding dirty clothes, shoes or equipment
• plastic tub with lid or old esky (to carry items listed above and to use as a foot bath).
• overalls, particularly where clothes might get dirty or contaminated with seeds, insects or spores
• drum of water (e.g. 5 L) to assist with cleaning
