The Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) has been the grateful recipient of a $250,000 donation to the Disaster Relief Fund which is a targeted fund assisting the recovery of farmers who have been decimated by the recent bushfires.
“The VFF thanks HW Greenham & Sons for their generous donation. The donation will provide a huge boost to our Disaster Relief Fund that is assisting farmers with their bushfire recovery,” said VFF President, David Jochinke.
HW Greenham & Sons has also launched a GoFundMe page to raise further funds for fire affected farmers – https://au.gofundme.com/f/greenham-bushfire-recovery-campaign
Managing Director Peter Greenham Junior said, “We were inundated with enquiries from beef producers and international customers as to how they could assist affected farmers. It has been incredible to know they care and we have seen generous donations come into our campaign.”
“We acknowledge that the recovery effort will take a long time with crucial infrastructure being a priority. I hope our actions will encourage more organisations and individuals to donate to the effort,” Mr Greenham adds.
Over the course of the fires, the VFF has received over 27,000 donated bales of hay as well as raising funds through the Disaster Relief Fund.
“Those who wish to make a tax deductible donation, can do so through the Greenham GoFundMe campaign, or by calling the VFF directly on 1300 882 833” Mr Jochinke concludes.
