The Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) today has announced the formal notice of the 2022 VFF
elections and is calling for nominations across a wide range of representative positions.
VFF Delegated and Acting Returning Officer Robert Taylor said nominations for a number of roles
will open immediately and will remain open for eligible members until close of business Monday
31 October 2022 for interested candidates.
“The VFF is calling for nominations for VFF President and Vice-President roles, as well as a number
of VFF commodity group positions.”
“The process will be conducted over the course of the next few months and we will announce the
election results in December.”
“I acknowledge the timing of this announcement is not ideal as many deal with the flooding crisis,
however we are constitutionally obliged to provide adequate notice to ensure a fair process. The
VFF will continue to support our farmers in any way we can,” Mr Taylor said.
The VFF is encouraging all members to ensure their membership contacts details, including email
addresses, are correct to enable them to participate in the upcoming election process.
“As an organisation, we exist to be the voice of Victorian farmers.”
“I encourage as many of our members as possible to put their hand up to represent Victorian
agriculture,” Mr Taylor said.
Further details and information including all open positions, nomination forms and other important
information can be viewed on the VFF website.
The VFF will announce in due course the voting process to ensure all flood-affected members have
the opportunity to vote and to ensure a fair process.
