The Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) is urging all interested candidates for positions open in the 2020 VFF elections to submit their nominations before close of business this Thursday 22 October.
VFF Returning Officer and CEO Stephen Sheridan said nominations have been open since October 1 for a number of roles.
“The VFF has been calling for nominations for VFF President and Vice-President roles, as well as a number of VFF commodity groups and policy council positions throughout October.”
“I would urge all interested candidates to ensure their nomination is received by the VFF before close of business this Thursday October 22 to be accepted,” Mr Sheridan said.
The VFF says the nominees will be announced on Wednesday November 4 after all nominations have been received and verified.
“Nominees will be announced on Wednesday 4 November and voting will commence on Monday November 9 and continue through until Tuesday December 8.”
“The VFF will announce the results of the election on Thursday December 10,” Mr Sheridan said.
As a result of COVID-19 restrictions on visitation, the VFF will accept correctly completed nomination forms signed in counterparts.
Nomination forms must be emailed to [email protected] by COB Thursday 22 October 2020 to be accepted as a valid nomination.
Further details and information including all open positions, nomination forms, required processes, key dates and other important information can be viewed on the VFF website.
