Since, we launched the new tiered membership packages in October the response from our UDV members has been very positive, with many members already transitioning to the new memberships.
To provide more clarity for our UDV members that haven’t joined up yet, the VFF would like to make it easy for UDV members to transition to the new membership packages and have provided two options to assist you.
Option 1 – Continuance of Levies until 30th of September 2024
Option 2 – Changeover to Membership Packages
OPTION 1
Continuance of Levies
You can continue to pay your levies, regardless of the amount, until the 30th of September 2024 and receive full membership entitlements.
Importantly, levies will not be considered as a membership payment from the 1st of October 2024.
Under this system you will receive a membership invoice in July 2024, due 1st of October 2024, should you choose to continue being a member of the VFF – UDV. The membership package on the invoice, and in turn the amount on the invoice, will either be automatically assigned to you based on your 2023/2024 levy contributions, or chosen by you prior to receiving the invoice.
From the 1st of October 2024 if you do not pay this invoice you will lose your membership benefits. Should there be any issues let us know, we are happy to help to make this as smooth as possible for you.
You should notify your processor when you would like to stop paying levies. We cannot switch off your milk levies for you. For your convenience, we have enclosed an opt-out form that you can fill out and hand in to your processor. OPTION 2
Changeover to Membership Packages
You can transition to the new membership packages anytime up until the 30th of September 2024. You will receive a pro-rata invoice for the remaining months of the membership period.
You can choose what package suits you best, be it Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I have already paid my levies for October, November, and/or December. Will these be credited to my new membership package?
UDV members can transition to the new membership using one of the two options described above. Levy payments cannot be credited off the new membership packages due to both the delayed complexities that arises from this system, and the incompatibility between the two.
Why is the levy payment not recognised as part of my membership?
The levy payment is a completely different system to the new membership packages, as the levy is a voluntary production based on the percent of milk that the member produces. This levy was inconsistently applied and was not fair to treat everyone’s levy payment the same. Some members paid a significant amount in levies while others paid nothing, but still received full benefits. The new membership packages are consistent and have set benefits.
Why is the VFF offering these membership transition options?
These two options will allow for you, over a 12 month period, to transition over to the new tiered membership packages.
I’ve already signed up as a member under the new system, but have also paid levies, will these be refunded or credited on my future membership payments?
No. These two systems are incompatible with each other. It is the responsibility of the member to turn off these levies. We cannot turn off your milk levies for you.
