More than 300 people attended a recent VFF St Arnaud Branch meeting regarding the VNI West Transmission Project, highlighting the level of interest from the community.
VFF President Emma Germano said the turnout demonstrated the huge interest from locals in the area and reiterated the problems facing landholders.
“The Victorian Government has completely dropped the ball and failed to properly prepare for the transition to renewable energy.”
“We won’t accept that farmers are being made to bear the brunt of years of inaction, while they have a complete lack of detail on a project that has the potential to threaten their livelihoods.”
