Livestock underpasses improve safety of rural roads for the motoring public, livestock, farming families and their employees who regularly take stock across arterials.
VFF has arranged for Vic Roads to publish pre-approved plans that farmers can use to make the installation of livestock underpasses a bit easier.
To access the pre-approved plans, follow these steps:
- Open your browser to Google
- Type VicRoads
- Click on VicRoads Homepage
- On the left hand side – Click on Business & Industry
- The drawings will either go under: Technical Publications or Road Designs
- Click on ‘Search technical publications’
- Search for ‘Stock Underpasses’
- The drawings are then found at ‘Standard Drawing SD7000 – 7020 – Stock Underpass | Standard Drawings for Roadworks’
To access to the formal Vic Roads requirements, follow these steps:
- From the VicRoads Homepage, go to the Search button
- Type in external works
- Here, you will find details of how to apply for it, link and downloads, information about the process etc
- You will also find the application for metro applicants and regional applicants, with their corresponding downloadable forms
