The VFF team recently took part in Victoria’s Biosecurity Roundtable.
Organised by Agriculture Victoria and attended by representatives from all key industries and government, including Victorian Agriculture Minister Ros Spence MP, this meeting is key to help ensuring Victoria is as prepared as it can be when it comes to biosecurity.
A major takeaway is that biosecurity has been and will continue to be an ongoing issue that we need to continue prioritising. Preparation during the quiet periods and is absolutely critical to being able to respond quickly to a biosecurity outbreak.
Just as important is the collaboration and partnerships between industry and government.
Biosecurity is everyone’s responsibility and can read more about the ongoing work we are doing in this space on our website: https://www.vff.org.au/campaign/farm-biosecurity/
